Our Team

In addition to being one of our dental hygienists, Jenny is our main myofunctional care provider here at CFD. She received her education in dental hygiene from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and has since also become a board-certified orofacial myologist, certified myobrace educator and performance breathing coach. With this extensive education in myofunctional therapy, Jenny provides non-invasive therapy to those who suffer from disorders of the face and mouth. Outside of work, Jenny and her family enjoy visiting amusement parks, skiing, and camping

Stacey is the lead dental assistant at CFD. With over 25 years of experience, she has learned a lot about the field and its advancements. Stacey studied at Grand Rapids Educational Center and has since become certified in dental implants. She has also gained a lot of experience doing crowns and performing the orthodontic services offered at CFD. Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and dog. She also enjoys fishing, working on her flower beds, or relaxing by the pool.

Jen is a dental hygienist with over 15 years of experience (6 of them at CFD) in dental care, providing preventative and therapeutic services. She is passionate about caring for and treating patients as well as educating them about oral and overall health. In her spare time, Jen enjoys being with her family and her American bulldog. She also loves daily running and other outdoor activities.

Andrea joined our team as a dental hygienist in 2020, shortly after receiving her associate’s in dental hygiene from KVCC. Andrea is passionate about connecting with and educating her patients on oral and overall health. Andrea was born in Michoacán, Mexico but grew up in Sturgis, MI.  In addition to her dental skills, she allows us to better communicate with our Spanish-speaking patients. Outside of work, Andrea likes to spend time with her husband (who was her high school sweetheart) and her son, Nicolás. She also enjoys travel, indie rock, and Harry Potter and is quite a “foodie”.

Rachel is one of our dental hygienists here at CFD. She discovered her passion for dental health through her own dental and orthodontic experiences. After two years of nursing school, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She received her degree in dental hygiene from Indiana University. Rachel is extremely passionate about the oral health and well-being of her patients. When she’s not working, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and their 3 dogs. Some of her other interests include volleyball and bowling.

Amber is one of our dental assistants here at CFD. She received her education at Everest Institute of Kalamazoo. In addition to her work as a dental assistant, she also works alongside Dr. Chad in Sleep/TMJ treatment.  Amber is passionate about this area of work because of how essential quality sleep is to well-being. Outside of work, Amber spends a lot of time on self-development through physical fitness, intentional eating, and expanding her knowledge of mental wellness. She also enjoys painting, traveling, and, of course, spending time with her loved ones.

Emmaline is one of our dental assistants here at CFD. After seeing the incredible work ethic and attention to detail Emmaline brought as a team member of one of our partners-in-health, Green Light Farm, Drs. Chad and Libby offered her a full-time position at CFD as a dental assistant. Emmaline continues to expand her education and training as she continues to learn about dental and overall health at CFD each day. She has a passion for working with plants and holistic healthcare. Some of Emmaline’s hobbies are watching science documentaries, up-cycling clothes, self-growth, and enjoying the outdoors.

Sheri is our Office Manager and one of our Wellness Advocates here at CFD. She originally came to our office as a dental hygienist and eventually transferred to the office side of dentistry. In her current position at CFD, her mission is to create a seamless, fun experience so the patient leaves well informed and prepared for their next appointment. When she’s not at the office, Sheri enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and other family members and friends. Having a house full of family and friends with craziness and laughter is her soul. She enjoys truly living and loving.

After 10 years of working as a cosmetologist, Shellie decided to pursue a career as a dental assistant in 1994, working at CFD, then known as Shields Dentistry. Now, Shellie holds the title of CFD Wellness Advocate. As a Wellness Advocate, she curates treatment plans for our patients. In cases where completing treatment seems out of reach, Shellie does her best to find a way to make it happen, always keeping the patient’s best interests in mind. Shellie’s hobbies are spending time with her husband of 35 years, her kids, and her grandkids. She also enjoys time by the pool and restoring old furniture.
